Mountain cottage Anička

The cottage is situated in mountain resort "Horní Malá Úpa" in western Giant mountains, near the border crossing Pomezní boudy. Altitude 1050m above sea level. Ideal starting point for hiking, cycling and winter sports. Parking in summer at parking place (500m, gratis) or 80m above the house (20,- CZK/car/day, you nedd the permit by municipal office). Parking in winter at guarded parking place (500m, 50,- CZK/car/day, necessary to hahe the snow chains). Bus connection Trutnov - Horní Malá Úpa (Pomezní boudy), station 400m. Railway station in Svoboda nad Úpou, than by bus to Horní Malá Úpa. Access by car on road Trutnov - Mladé Buky - Svoboda nad Úpou - Pec pod Sněžkou. Behind the village Horní Maršov you must turm to the right over the bridge and continue 12km to Horní Malá Úpa.

Typical mountain cottage situated on slope, 80m by the local road. All year accommodation in week terms (weekend stay only in summer time). 3 separately renting rooms (2,3 and 4-beds) with basic furniture and color TV. Shared kitchen equipped with refrigerator, microwave oven, gas stove, etc. The cold water at rooms and kitchen, solid fuel heating. There are also WC and bathroom with bath (solid fuel furnace). Garden furniture, grill and fire place by the cottage. The price of includes power consumtion, bed-clothes, disch-clothes, recreatonal fee. In summer the location is ideal for mushroom-pickers. In winter you can use the ski lift with lenght of 280m andd night skiing. You can also visit the near sportshall (500m, tennis, volleyball, basketball, footsal, ricochet, fitness, whirlpool, sauna). The cottage is ideal for unpretentious guests.

In the Malá Úpa there are post office, shops, restaurants, parking place, bus station, indoor sportshall, swimming pool, buffet, ski and snowboard rent "Orion" and border crossing to Poland. Infocentre with gallery and change office. In winter you can visit only 1km far ski centre "U kostela" with ski lifts of lenght 1000, 400, 300, technical snow and night skiing. Free ski-bus transport. In the surroundings there are also other ski lifts and cross-country skiing tracks. Malá Úpa is also starting point for trips to eastern Giant mountains. Ideal conditions for hiking and cycling in summer season. Tip for trip - mountain Sněžka, valley Obří důl, Portášovy boudy, mountain Liščí hora, Rozcestí, Výrovka, mountain Luční hora, cottage Luční bouda, valley of Bílé Labe, ridge Kozí hřbety, etc. Church of St. Peter and Paul (2km).
