The picturesque mountain village Spindleruv Mlyn is the most important skiing, hiking, cycling and sport centre not just in Giant Mountains but in the Czech Republic. It is located in the Giant Mountain National Park (KRNAP) 715 -1310 meters above sea level where Dolsky stream joins the Labe River. Spindleruv Mlyn provides great background for a number of various recreational activities all year round. In the fresh mountain air you can gain new energy, you find here plenty of sport opportunities joined by unforgettable experience from fascinating Giant Mountains landscape. In time from May until October you can enjoy plenty of hiking and cycling routes running through the beautiful valleys and mountain edges which take you to the deep forests, wild torrents and large alpine meadows. They offer breath-taking vista of the magnificent landscape of Giant Mountains. Spindleruv Mlyn is an ideal starting point to plenty of tourist or cycle routes.  The first snow starts to show on the ridges of Giant Mountains at the end of October, the ideal snow conditions starts in December and lasts until April. Both of them can be covered with the artificial snow, if the snow conditions are not good. Spindleruv Mlyn and its surrounding are ideal place for cross country skiers. There are plenty of carefully maintained cross country roads.
