| Zlaté Hory – The historical center is a protected monumental zone with several renaissance and baroque houses and sacral buildings. Among the most important sights are the building of the old post, nowadays used by the town museum, churches and ruins of castles Edelštehn, Leuchtenštejn and Kobrštejn. | | Edelštejn castle – Between Zlaté Hory and Heřmanovice there is a long hillside of Příčný Vrch and on one of its peaks the castle Edelštejn used to stand. Today there are only ruins of ramparts and bases of the tower. | | Deserted chapel of St.Anne – There is as sacred spring and Calvary not far from the deserted chapel. The ruin of St.Marta’s chapel – A part of the fresco above the altar is still possible to see. Horní Údolí – Many examples of local folk architecture form 19th century. The seven folk houses are a part of a protected monumental heritage. | | Rejvíz – The highest placed settlement in the area located in the middle of a romantic country of deep woods. It has been declared a monumental zone thanks to the folk architecture from 19th century. | | Velké Mechové Jezírko (The Big Moss Lake) – The Big and the Small Moss Lakes are the center of the biggest natural reserve in Silesia. The age of the peat-bog has been estimated to be about 6-7 thousand years. It is only accessible by marked paths to keep the reserve. There is an educational trail leading through all the way to the big lake. The trail gives information on local plants and animals and it starts by Rejvíz cottage. |
