Around Červenohorské mountain pass over Kamenné okno (The Stone Window)

Length: 16,2 km Dificulty: medium Circle: YES, Marking: marked This trip starts in Červenohorské mountain pass and leads along the red touristic trail to the crossroad called Bílý Sloup (White Pilar) where it turns to the yellow track that leads over Červená Hora Mountain to a rock formation called Kamenné Okno (Stone Window) where it turns to the green track towards Točník and crossroad Pod Točníkem. There it switches to blue track to Filipovice and there connects to yellow track. It follows a car road towards Jeseník for a little while and then turns to a forest trail towards Drátovna. Then it climbs up to Mariin Pramen (Mary’s spring), rocks by Jeřáb and a place called Pekárka from where it descent by ski slopes back to the starting point.

Located in 1013AMSL with a touristic cottage built in 1935. The main seat of the mountain rescue system is also located here.   Červená hora Mountain – From the top of the Červená hora Mountain there is a wonderful view of Jeseníky ridges and Jeseníky area in general. The area of the top is covered with dwarf pine. On its western slope there is a pilgrimage place of the Vřesová studánka. At the foot of the mountain is the so-called Snowy Basin, the former glacier.   U Kamenného okna (By The Stone Window) – The stone window is a lonely rock formation with a “rock gate”.   Točník – From the rocks of Točník you can see the Jeseník baths, the lookout tower of Zlatý Chlum, from the Orlík belt to the Videlský ridge, and to the right you can see the Praděd television tower.   Mariin pramen – Mary’s Spring is situated at an altitude of 700m above sea level. You will find a hearty spring that refreshes after a challenging journey.
