At the height of 1005 meters above sea level, remains of prehistoric Celtic settlement are preserved. The hill served as a watch ground for the nearby gold deposits and is still the highest situated fortified settlement in Bohemia that has been discovered. Due to its remoteness it has been preserved in a very good condition. The stone valleys still encircle a fortification area of 87x70m. On the slopes around the fortification there are stone seas and peat bogs. Findings from this fortified settlement can be seen in the Sušice Museum. |
