Hřebečná is located in the western part of the Ore Mountains, near the village Abertamy. Hřebečná is an ideal place for recreation. In winter, there is a network of cross-country trails, part of the Ore Mountains Cross counry System, which connects the highest peaks of the Ore Mountains. Some trails are conected to Germany trails. The surrounding area offers several ski resorts: Abertamy, Pernink, Jachymov, Nove Hamry, Bozi Dar and Klinovec. In summer, the arterial road can be used for cycling. Nature lovers can visit the nearby reserve Bozi Dar peat bogs, or go on the Nature trail Blatensky potok to Vlci jamy.
