The fauna of Eagle mountains have passed the long evolution and it was affected also by the human activity. This activity has determinated the extinction of many kinds, for example large ungulates, beats and predators. Today the mammal are represent by usual kinds. These are mainly the fair game, fox, marten, badger or hedgehog. You can find there also the czech smallest mammal, rare mountanious shrew.
The altitude has effect also to birds. In the region there live more than 170 kinds of birds, for example rare black stork or wooden rowan.
